Why We’re Creating a Local Club Team for Orlando Lacrosse

Our goal is to unify the Orlando lacrosse community by establishing a high-level local club team that brings together top players from across the region. While Central Florida has a growing and talented lacrosse scene, many athletes are scattered across different schools, training groups, and travel teams. This new initiative gives them the opportunity to train and compete together, fostering local pride and a stronger lacrosse culture in our area.

A Unique Platform for Player Development and Exposure

This team is designed to complement—not replace—players’ participation with their regional or national club programs. Our focus is on providing additional opportunities, specifically:

• Playing in unique showcase events that aren’t always accessible through national teams alone.

• Competing in front of college coaches in both local and out-of-region settings to increase exposure and recruitment visibility.

• Building team chemistry with other top players in the area, which often isn't possible when everyone is on separate national squads.

Building Identity and Culture in Central Florida

Orlando is a growing hub for lacrosse, yet it lacks a true local club identity. By forming this team, we are helping to establish a clear development pathway and a sense of unity and purpose for players who represent our region. This also strengthens community support, encourages collaboration among coaches, and creates more opportunities for mentorship and leadership development within the sport.
